Oliver Mason

Oliver Mason has conducted research into severe mental health problems for over 15 years both in the laboratory and the clinic. Originally a student of those with chronic mental health problems in the former asylum system, he gained his doctorate from Oxford in 1996.

He is currently a senior lecturer in the Research Department for Clinical Health and Educational Psychology at University College London, and conducts clinical and research work as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the North East London Foundation NHS Trust (formerly a mental health trust). He became involved in the LPFF Coping Through Football project shortly after its inception in an evaluation capacity.
